Cardiff City came from behind to beat Swindon Town 3-2 in the EFL Cup first round. Yousef Salech scored twice to turn the game around after Gabriel Osho had given the visitors a ninth-minute lead, and Jack Moylan's 77th-minute goal sealed the win.
Swindon led through Osho's ninth-minute goal, but Salech equalised in the 29th minute and then put Cardiff in front in the 43rd, with Cian Ashford credited with the assist. Paul Glatzel brought Swindon level again in the 62nd minute from Joseph Hungbo's assist, only for Jack Moylan to score the winner in the 77th minute, assisted by Salech. Swindon ended the match with 10 men after James Debayo was sent off in the 90th minute, six minutes after being booked.
Cardiff had the better of the stats, holding 61% possession, racking up 14 shots to Swindon's 12 and four on target to one. That control told in the end, with Salech's two goals and an assist proving the difference.
