Bury AFC thrashed Wythenshawe FC 8-0 in FA Cup Qualification Round 1, with six goals before half-time effectively settling the tie. Wythenshawe offered no reply as Bury ran away with a one-sided contest.
Connor Pye opened the scoring on 32 minutes and Tom Carr added a second a minute later. Kai Evans made it 3-0 on 41, Momodou Touray scored the fourth on 45, and Pye struck twice more before the interval to make it 6-0. Owen Robinson extended the lead on 54 and Evans completed the scoring on 80.
Connor Pye was the standout performer, scoring three goals in the first half, while Kai Evans also scored twice. Five different Bury players found the net, showing the spread of the attack. No cards were shown during the match.
