The first set swung repeatedly: Bucsa broke in the opening game and again at 1-4, Bejlek hit back at 2-4 and 5-5, then Bucsa's break at 5-6 gave her the set. Bejlek took the second 6-4, breaking at 4-4 and sealing it at 6-4. The decider was one-sided, with Bucsa breaking at 0-1, 1-4 and 1-6 to close out the match.
Bucsa's serving held up under pressure: she landed 73% of first serves, saved three break points and won 37 return points to Bejlek's 33. Bejlek saved 10 of 16 break points she faced, yet Bucsa still found six breaks to secure the win.
