Alexander Bublik defeated Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets at Kitzbuhel, powered by early breaks and dominant serving. The Kazakh saved the only break point he faced all match and converted two of six break opportunities.
Bublik broke for a 2-0 lead in the first set and closed it out 6-3 with no further drama. He then broke immediately at 1-0 in the second set and held serve throughout, despite a brief scare when he saved a break point in the second set to maintain control.
Bublik won 81% of his first-serve points (29/36) and was perfect on break-point defence. Etcheverry, despite hitting five aces, could not convert any of his six break points and saved only four of them.
