Poullain L. defeated Brouwer G. 6-1, 6-0 at the ATP Challenger Istanbul II, dropping just one game in a one-sided contest. The winner converted five of seven break points and never faced a break point on his own serve.
Poullain broke in game four for 3-1 and again in game six for 5-1 to take the opening set. He then cruised through the second with breaks at 1-0, 3-0 and 5-0, sealing a bagel without any real resistance.
The gulf on first serve told the story: Poullain won 23 of 30 points (77%) behind it, while Brouwer managed just 10 of 26 (38%). With 3 aces, no double faults and a 47-21 lead in total points, Poullain's win was emphatic.
