The first set featured six breaks, with Bronzetti taking four of them but losing serve three times, allowing Kabbaj to edge ahead 6-3. Bronzetti turned the match in the second set: despite facing three break points, she saved all three and held twice, while Kabbaj broke twice but could not sustain her serve, dropping two service games. The decider was one-sided – Bronzetti broke at 0-2, 0-4 and 0-6, winning 12 of the last 13 games from 2-4 down in the second set.
Bronzetti’s third-set performance was ruthless: she did not face a break point, won 75% of first-serve points (9/12) and conceded only 25% on Kabbaj’s first serve. The bagel was her second straight-set win of the day, sealing a comeback from a set down.
