Bradford City progressed in the EFL Cup with a 2-0 win over Rochdale at Valley Parade. A goal either side of half-time settled the tie, with Bradford's superior cutting edge proving decisive.
Will Swan opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, and Aden Baldwin made it 2-0 in the 67th minute, turning in Callum Connolly's assist. Rochdale had more of the ball, but Bradford carried the greater threat throughout.
The shot count told the story: Bradford had 21 attempts to Rochdale's nine, with nine on target to two. They also created four big chances and scored two, while their goalkeeper was called on just twice. Devante Rodney and Dajaune Brown were shown yellow cards.
