Tamara Korpatsch eased past Anna Bondár 6-3 6-3 at the WTA Hamburg, converting all three of her break points to seal a straight-sets victory. The German was dominant on serve, winning seven of eight service games and saving two of three break points she faced.
Korpatsch broke early in the first set for a 2-0 lead, but Bondár fought back to level at 3-3 with a break of her own in game seven. The momentum swung back when Korpatsch broke again in game eight, serving out the set. In the second set, Korpatsch struck first at 2-3, then sealed the match with a second break in the ninth game at 3-6.
Korpatsch's perfect break-point conversion (3/3) proved decisive, as Bondár managed only one break from six chances. The German also fired two aces and won 55 total points to Bondár's 46.
