Gimnasia y Esgrima Mendoza and Boca Juniors drew 2-2 in the Superliga, with the home side snatching a point through a 90th-minute equaliser after Boca had led twice. Boca twice edged ahead but could not hold on.
Alan Velasco put Boca in front in the 17th minute from Tomás Belmonte's assist. Ignacio Sabatini levelled two minutes later, Fermin Antonini providing the pass, before Kevin Zenón restored Boca's lead from Dylan Gorosito's assist in the 38th minute. Gimnasia's equaliser arrived in the 90th minute.
Gimnasia had the better of the stats, with 59 per cent possession, 17 shots to Boca's 12 and slightly higher expected goals, 1.80 to 1.78. Yet they needed that late goal, while Boca took two of their six shots on target.
