Beijing Guoan and Liaoning Shenyang Urban shared a point after a 1-1 draw at the Workers' Stadium. The hosts took the lead in the first half through Serginho, but Liaoning hit back after the break with a Takahiro Kunimoto equaliser.
Serginho opened the scoring in the 24th minute, converting an Aboubacar Konte assist to give Beijing a 1-0 advantage. Liaoning responded just after the hour mark when Takahiro Kunimoto fired home from Binbin Chen's pass to make it 1-1 in the 56th minute. Four yellow cards were shown – to Zhang Hongfu, Felipe, Zang Yifeng and Serginho – but no reds.
Despite dominating possession with 64% and firing 20 total shots, Beijing managed only two on target and missed two big chances. Liaoning, with 36% possession, had three shots on target from 13 attempts and scored one of their two big chances. The result leaves both sides level on points.
