Aldosivi beat Banfield 3-1 in the Superliga, with two goals from Andrés Vombergar underpinning the win. The home side led 2-0 at half-time and answered Banfield's early second-half goal almost immediately.
Renzo Malanca opened the scoring in the 34th minute and Andrés Vombergar made it 2-0 eight minutes later, Martin Garcia with the assist. Matías Hernández gave Banfield hope in the 51st minute, but Vombergar struck again from Tomás Fernández's pass just 60 seconds later to make it 3-1.
Banfield created three big chances to Aldosivi's one and posted a higher expected-goals total, 1.72 to 0.93, but the hosts were far more clinical, firing nine of 20 shots on target. Banfield's goalkeeper made seven saves, while Aldosivi needed only two, and Vombergar's brace proved the decisive difference in a match where the visitors edged the quality of chances without the reward.
