Tigres UANL were held to a 2-2 draw by Atlético de San Luis after David Rodriguez struck a late equaliser in the 89th minute. The hosts had twice taken the lead but could not see the game out, with San Luis showing resilience to claim a point.
Fernando Gorriarán opened the scoring for Tigres in the 11th minute, but Sergio levelled for the visitors just before half-time in the 38th. Diego Sanchez restored Tigres' advantage in the 53rd minute from Juan Brunetta's assist, only for David Rodriguez to snatch a share of the spoils deep into the second half.
Despite creating more chances—Tigres had 17 shots to San Luis's 13 and an expected goals total of 1.34 against 0.50—they managed only two shots on target. San Luis were more clinical with four efforts on goal, and their greater possession (56%) and accurate passing (441 to 316) helped them earn a deserved draw.
