Atlas came from behind to beat Club León 3-2 in an eventful Primera Division Apertura match. The visitors struck first through Luís Henriques de Barros Lopes after just two minutes, but León equalised through Diber Cambindo. The game turned when Cambindo was sent off before half-time, and Atlas made the extra man count in the second half.
Arturo González put Atlas back in front five minutes after the restart, and Aldo Rocha made it 3-1 with 17 minutes left. Jordi Cortizo pulled one back for León soon after, but Atlas held on despite a late onslaught. The home side had 16 shots to Atlas's nine but could not find another equaliser.
Atlas were more efficient in front of goal, scoring three times from seven shots on target. Their goalkeeper made six saves to keep León at bay. Cambindo's red card proved costly for the hosts, as Atlas created the better chances with an expected goals total of 1.72 to León's 1.23.
