Aries FC Tokyo snatched a late equaliser to rescue a 2-2 draw with Tokyo United FC. The hosts took an early lead but were overhauled before half-time, only to level deep into stoppage time.
Aries struck first in the 6th minute to go 1-0 up. Tokyo United responded just before the break, scoring in the 45th minute to turn the match around and lead 2-1. The home side refused to give in and equalised in the 90th minute to secure a share of the spoils.
Possession was fairly even, with Aries holding 53% to Tokyo United's 47%. The away side had the edge from set-pieces, earning three corners to Aries' two, but neither team could dominate fully.
