The first set saw Arango break in the opening game, but Badosa responded immediately, breaking back and claiming the set 6-3. In the second set, Badosa dominated, breaking three times and saving three of four break points she faced to close out the match 6-2.
Badosa’s ability to save break points was decisive: she faced 10 break points overall and saved nine, a 90% rate, while Arango saved only one of five (20%).
