In the first set, Anisimova broke in game four at 1-3 and again in game six at 1-5 to close it out. The second set started with three straight breaks: Anisimova led 0-1, Krueger levelled at 1-1, and Anisimova broke again at 1-2. She finished the match with another break at 3-6.
The standout number was Anisimova's break-point saving: 10 of 11 overall, including seven of eight in the second set. She also won 33 service points to Krueger's 20 and came out ahead in the baseline exchanges.
