América de Cali took the points with a 2-0 win over Internacional de Bogota, scoring twice in the second half to break the deadlock. The visitors were clinical when it mattered, taking their chances while keeping the home side at bay.
The deadlock was broken in the 52nd minute when Luis Quiñones set up Tilman Palacios to make it 1-0. Ten minutes later, Yeison Guzmán doubled the lead with an unassisted strike, giving América a comfortable cushion. Internacional pushed for a way back but could not find the net.
Although Internacional had more total shots (13 to 7) and more possession (45% to 55%), it was América who created the better opportunities, registering four big chances to Internacional's two.
