América de Cali came from behind to beat Junior Barranquilla 4-2 in the Primera A, Apertura. Junior struck early through Luis Muriel, but América answered before half-time and then took control with a burst of goals after the restart.
Luis Muriel gave Junior a second-minute lead, and the visitors held it until Marcos Mina equalised in the 40th minute from Luis Quiñones's assist. Tomás Ángel put América ahead in the 47th minute, again with Quiñones involved, and that quick goal settled the match. Jhon Murillo added a third in the 68th minute and Yani Quintero made it 4-1 in the 74th, before Fabián Ángel pulled one back for Junior in the 87th.
América dominated the underlying numbers, with 55% possession, 19 shots to Junior's 12 and four big chances, all of which they converted. Their expected goals stood at 2.56 against Junior's 0.79, and Junior's goalkeeper made five saves to keep the deficit at two. Luis Quiñones was booked early on, while Guillermo Celis and Yani Quintero were both sent off in the closing stages.
