Dynamo-Altay Barnaul secured a 4-2 regulation win at HC Norilsk, breaking the game open with a three-goal second period. The visitors turned a 1-1 tie after 20 minutes into a 1-4 lead through two.
Norilsk matched the scoreboard in the first, but the middle frame belonged entirely to Dynamo-Altay, which scored three unanswered goals. The hosts got one back at 44 minutes in the third, but Dynamo-Altay held on for the two-goal margin.
The decisive stretch came between the 25th and 35th minutes, when all three second-period goals were scored. That burst gave the road side enough cushion to control the final frame.
