Real Sociedad B won 2-1 at Albacete in LaLiga 2, taking control with two first-half goals and then holding on. Arkaitz Mariezkurrena opened the scoring after six minutes and Gorka Gorosabel doubled the lead just before half-time.
Mariezkurrena converted Dani Díaz's assist to make it 0-1, and Gorosabel headed in from Jon Eceizabarrena's pass on the stroke of half-time. Albacete pulled one back in the 80th minute when Daniel Bernabeu met Agus Medina's assist, but they could not find an equaliser.
Albacete dominated territory, with 64 per cent possession, 17 shots to 12 and five big chances, yet they scored only once and missed all five of those big chances. Real Sociedad B were outplayed for long spells but took their chances, scored from their one big chance and saw their goalkeeper make six saves.
