Al-Ittihad beat Al-Nassr 2-1 in the Saudi Professional League, thanks to two first-half goals from George Ilenikhena. The win was built on an early burst that put the home side in control before Al-Nassr responded.
Ilenikhena opened the scoring after four minutes and doubled the lead on 22 minutes, Houssem Aouar providing the assist for the second. Ângelo pulled one back for Al-Nassr in the 36th minute, and despite plenty of pressure after the break, the away side could not find an equaliser.
Al-Nassr had the greater share of possession, won 14 corners to three and registered seven shots on target to Al-Ittihad's three, yet still finished on the losing side. Al-Ittihad's goalkeeper made six saves, while Ilenikhena's brace proved the decisive difference.
