Al-Ettifaq won 4-2 against Al Riyadh in the Saudi Professional League, with Moussa Dembélé scoring a hat-trick. The hosts were the dominant side throughout, and Al Riyadh had Rodrigo Abascal sent off in the sixth minute.
Dembélé opened the scoring on 22 minutes, and Teddy Okou equalised for Al Riyadh in first-half stoppage time. Dembélé struck again on 54 minutes, but Bernard Mensah levelled two minutes later. Rayane Messi Tanfouri put Al-Ettifaq back ahead on 79 minutes and Dembélé completed his hat-trick in the 90th.
Al-Ettifaq finished with 66% possession and 20 shots to Al Riyadh's seven, and an expected-goals tally of 2.65 against 0.63. Yet Al Riyadh twice came from behind, and it took a late burst to settle the contest.
