Al Kholood beat Al-Ahli 3-1 in the Saudi Professional League, scoring twice in the final five minutes to turn a tight game into a comfortable-looking win. Iker Kortajarena put them ahead in the first half, but Ivan Toney levelled for Al-Ahli after the break. Al Kholood then struck twice late on through Julien Domingues and Muhammad Sawan.
Kortajarena opened the scoring on 32 minutes from Coba Gomes Da Costa's assist. Toney equalised for Al-Ahli on 66, converting Eduard Spertsyan's pass, and the game looked evenly poised until Domingues restored Al Kholood's lead on 85. Sawan added the third in the 90th minute, again assisted by Gomes Da Costa.
The scoreline flattered Al Kholood, who had just 32% possession and four shots to Al-Ahli's 14. Yet they put three of those four efforts on target and took all three, while Al-Ahli managed only two shots on target from their 14 attempts. Al Kholood's expected-goals total of 1.07 was lower than Al-Ahli's 1.17, but their finishing decided it.
