Chernov put Krylya Sovetov ahead in the 19th minute, with Yuri Gorshkov providing the assist. The score stayed 0-1 until Oroz doubled the lead in the 75th minute, and Shitov added a third in the 90th, again set up by Gorshkov.
Yuri Gorshkov stood out with assists for the first and third goals. Akron had 62% possession and 13 shots, but only four on target, while Krylya Sovetov had 38% possession and 11 shots, yet managed eight on target and took their chances.
