Associação Naval 1893 reached the next round of the Taça de Portugal with a 3-1 win at AD Nogueirense, though they were pushed all the way. They led from the 53rd minute, but Nogueirense forced extra time with a stoppage-time equaliser.
Naval took the lead in the 53rd minute and held it until the 90th, when Nogueirense levelled to make it 1-1. The tie turned in extra time, as Naval struck again in the 97th minute and added a third in the 110th to settle it.
The decisive factor was Naval's response to conceding so late. Three of the four goals arrived after the 90th minute, and Naval scored twice in extra time to turn a disrupted closing sequence into a comfortable-looking away win.
