Walsall beat Accrington Stanley 3-2 in League Two. They struck inside eight minutes through Reece Smith, saw Accrington level quickly, then regained control before half-time and added a third early in the second half.
Reece Smith made it 1-0 in the 8th minute, but Josh Woods equalised for Accrington four minutes later. Harrison Burke restored Walsall's lead just before the break, with Mason Hancock providing the assist, and Aaron Pressley extended it to 3-1 in the 53rd minute after Reece Smith turned provider. Stefan Mols pulled one back for Accrington in the 57th minute, but Walsall held on.
Accrington actually had more attempts overall, 20 to Walsall's 15, and both sides had five shots on target. Walsall controlled possession with 62% and created four big chances to Accrington's two, with their goalkeeper making three saves to help secure the win.
