1. FC Nürnberg made it three wins in a row with a commanding 4-1 victory over Arminia Bielefeld, racing into a 3-0 lead by the 38th minute and never looking back. Mohamed Ali Zoma, Tim Janisch and Adam Markhiyev were on target before Markhiyev struck again after the break.
Zoma opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Janisch doubled the lead with help from Finn Ole Becker, and Markhiyev made it 3-0 before half-time. Markhiyev added a fourth in the 67th minute, with Marius Wörl grabbing a late consolation for Bielefeld. Kristian Mandic and Zoma were booked either side of the break.
The scoreline flattered Nürnberg in one sense: Bielefeld had more shots (20 to 13) and a higher expected-goals figure (1.01 to 0.94), yet Nürnberg were ruthless, scoring four from six shots on target. Markhiyev's brace plus three big chances created were the decisive difference against an opponent who had plenty of attempts but only five on target.
