Moneyway and pro bettors: where the football money goes, live
CheckLive · Pro · Beta
The Popular Bets section of CheckLive Pro shows who is betting on football and how, while the match is on. Below are our view of betting and every part of the product, from the money map to the pros’ records.
Our view
Predictions are the old game. To find out who was betting on a match and how, you had to trawl dozens of sites: tips, “expert” opinions, forums.
The new game is real money. The betting market already holds the odds, the stakes and the expectations of thousands of people, and CheckLive reads it in layers: the public — where people bet; the money — the outcome with the largest total staked; the pros — what bettors with a proven long-term record are doing.
The three layers on a real match — Bayern Munich vs Arsenal, Champions League, 21 October 2026, on saved data.
Hover over an explanation beside the card to highlight the relevant element. You can also click an explanation or select it using the keyboard.
Public. The outcome most people bet on.
Money. The outcome with the most money on it.
Pros. Where the pros got in before kick-off.
Odds. The layer’s average odds on that outcome.
What matters most happens during the match. That picture used to be pieced together bit by bit; CheckLive shows it whole and live: where people are betting right now, who got in, who got out and how the market “breathes”.
And it is all open, losses included. Tipsters usually show their wins; here you see the pros’ full record, losing bets too, and after the match it is open to everyone.
It is not a tip or advice: we do not tell you what to bet on — we show how others bet, and the final whistle decides who was right. Understanding the market matters more than scrolling through search results.
The hub: where the money goes today
The Popular Bets hub is one screen for the whole day of betting. At the top, “Most money” lists the three matches with the largest totals staked, each with one sentence on what is happening and the three layers.
Below is the “Money map today”. Each tile is one of today’s matches: the more money on it, the bigger the tile and the deeper the colour. A tile shows the total, the pro bets and the big bets — bets with a large stake, not necessarily placed by a pro. Tap a tile to open the match. Under the map, “Today’s matches” lists every match with bets, by league.
The map runs on saved data from one evening. Tiles lead to the matches — after the whistle you can see how they ended.
On the right of the hub, the “Latest bets” feed shows fresh pro bets and big bets across all of today’s matches, newest first. The “All · Big bets · Pros” filter keeps what you need, and while the matches are on the feed updates by itself. Matches with betting data are also gathered in the PRO tab on the football home page.
The match page: three layers and a timeline
Before kick-off the “Who’s betting on what?” block shows the picks of the public, the money and the pros. Once the match starts it becomes “Live money” and explains in one sentence what is happening now. Under it, the “Timeline” opens up: minute by minute you can see when the money switched sides, when the pros got in, and where the goals and red cards came.
The number of bets and the amount staked are not the same thing, as the “Bets and money by outcome” block shows. On Bayern Munich vs Arsenal, 1 drew 53% of the bets but only 39% of the stakes, while X2 drew 50% of the bets and 73% of the stakes: the X2 bets were bigger.
Pros and big bets during the match
The “Pros and big bets” feed shows the minute, outcome, odds and stake of a bet. “Show all for the match” opens the full list with a 0–90′ bar: avatars sit at the minute of the bet, alongside goals and red cards. You can zoom into the bar and sort the list by time, stake and odds.
A cash out means leaving a bet before the whistle, in full or in part. It locks in the result early, so it can come in profit or at a loss.
Pro bet. Name, minute, outcome, odds, stake and ROI by the CheckLive model.
Big bet. Not necessarily placed by a pro.
Cash out. Leaving before the whistle — in profit or at a loss.
On this match one pro took 1X at 1.47 in the 38th minute — it won. Another got in on X2 at 1.23 in the 27th minute but cashed out at a loss in the 79th, even though X2 won in the end. Two more backed 1 late on at 9.09 and 5.56 and lost.
After the whistle: who was right
The match ended 2–2. The public backed 1 and missed. The money was on X2 and the pros, before kick-off, on Over 2.5 — both came in. “Pros result” shows that of the nine pros who bet on the match, four ended in profit and the rest at a loss.
Stats: who is right over time
One match proves nothing; time does. Stats shows how often the public, the money and the pros picked the outcome that won. We only count matches where the layer had a side before kick-off, and you can break the numbers down by competition and by day and open the match history.
The “Agree or split” block covers the disputed cases: how often the shared pick won when all three agreed; the public’s pick when it stood alone against everyone or against the money; and the pros’ pick when they went against the money. “Different bets” is a separate row: the public or the pros picked another market, or an outcome compatible with the money’s pick. There is no dispute there, so the row shows how often the money’s pick won. When there are too few matches, it says so instead of showing a percentage.

Pro ranking
The pro bettors ranking lists the strongest bettors by ROI over 30 days, 90 days or the season, with the number of bets and recent form. ROI is profit or loss per 100 staked: based on actual stakes, net of costs; for a cash out, based on the cash-out amount.
The ranking updates every day and the pro roster once a month: anyone who fails the selection at two reviews in a row drops out. Pro names are pseudonyms.

The pro page: chart and history
A pro’s page opens with the “ROI over time” chart for 30 days, 90 days or all time; move along it to see the value on any date. Below is “History”: a calendar where days in profit are green and the rest grey, with the month’s ROI beside it when there are enough matches to count. Tap a day to open its matches and bets: minute, pick, odds, stake, cash out and result.
The page also shows what the pro is doing today and which leagues and bet types they are strongest in. Losing days and months are shown just like winning ones.

What we do not do
We never say “bet” or tell you what to bet on. We do not sell “inside info” or hint at private information. We do not suggest copying anyone’s bets, the pros’ included. We show losses just like wins, and we never recalculate the numbers after the match.
A new milestone: watch, don’t guess
A prediction is an opinion. One person’s, or a few people’s — unchecked, with no money behind the words. Over time, that is exactly where the mistakes pile up.
Stats are more honest, but they look backwards. Everyone knows the form and the injuries, while the lion’s share of what decides a match never makes it into a table. And on the pitch everything can change in a minute.
An early goal. A red card. The key player limps off. The match goes off script, and the pre-match expectations are worth nothing. What matters now is what people are doing right now. Some panic. Some wait. Some hope.
Popular Bets shows exactly that moment. The score — and beside it the money moving across outcomes: where the public swung, where the biggest sums are, what the pros are doing. Not someone’s opinion, but decisions with money behind them — live, while the match is on.
Until now, very few could see the market like this. Now you can.

Frequently asked questions
What is moneyway?
The betting term for how the money moves on a match. In CheckLive it is the Money layer, next to Public and Pros, live.
How is the public different from the money?
Public is the outcome most people bet on. Money is the outcome with the largest total staked.
Who are the pros?
A selected group of strong bettors. Automated and artificial activity is never counted as a pro.
Can I just follow the pros?
The stats describe the past and promise nothing.
Where do the numbers come from, and is this every bet on the match?
They are counted by CheckLive’s internal model. It covers part of the bets on a match, and coverage varies from match to match.
How much will Pro cost after the beta?
Pro is free while the beta runs. We are now testing load, server performance and data quality, and we will announce the final price when the beta ends.
